25 Years (1994-2019) - That’s a Wrap!

As we say farewell to 2019 and look to the future, we wanted to thank you all for an amazing 25 years serving the community. Interestingly, the last 18 months have been a microcosm of the investment landscape we have observed in the past 25 years. 18 months ago, many were celebrating a rapid run up to fresh new stock market highs, followed by unexpected bumps in the road (US Federal Reserve policy and international politics rattled the market into an almost 20% correction), followed by encouraging news that the Fed would lower interest rates again and a few Presidential tweets that perhaps the US and the rest of the world will decide to play nice together as we trade goods and services. Together, that news sparked a market rally this year.

It’s interesting how wisdom changes how we deal with the same scenarios when they repeat themselves. As time goes on, it feels like we make more informed choices and it’s easier to maintain healthy perspectives, despite the never-ending social media clamor that if we don’t act a certain way, we will face certain perils.

For those of us working as investment professionals for a few decades, the events of 2019 (and the last half of 2018) seem to be much like the same stories we have seen before, just different faces, different names, and different years. What IS different (thankfully), is that we have learned so much over the last 25 years. We have built better systems of managing risk. We have evolved our communications process to deliver meaningful real-time information across multiple channels to individuals, families, as well as entire corporate groups that we serve. We have assembled an amazing team with over 80 years of combined experience to help clients pursue their financial goals with confidence. We have a long-standing track record of serving our community with great integrity that countless people have come to rely on.

It has been a blessing to have earned a role of such significance to our clients, and the respect of our industry peers around the nation. We want to thank you for the continued confidence and opportunity to serve you and your family in the past. We are very much looking forward to the future and continuing to make meaningful contributions in the lives of those we serve and to our community.
